When my kids were toddlers, I had a friend (single mom) who had 3 VERY well behaved teenaged sons. I eventually wanted to have kids like that, so I asked her how she had done it. She told me that you just had to accept that as a parent, you would be driving your kids all over the place, but you had a choice. It could be music lessons, sports, theater, church, etc, or it could be counseling sessions, juvi hall, scared straight, etc. You choose! My highschoolers are now soccer players, involved in ASB and great students.
