Parenting Guide To Teen Marijuana Use

The Parents Guide to Talking to Your Teen About Marijuana is not like other publications or articles on the topic. This guide is different in its approach to getting the message across to your teen. In addition, it provides a full range of ways to deal with the marijuana issue with your teen:

  • how to effectively talk to your teen about pot to get the message across to them
  • how to know if your teen is smoking pot
  • how to help your teen (not punish them) quit smoking pot…it’s about helping them quit instead of simply punishing them and hoping that they quit.

This book is all about being an effective parent in tackling the problem of teen marijuana use. It provides a teen perspective on how to really get your message across to teens. I realize that this is a hard subject to talk to your teens about and I want you to be able to get the message through to your teen effectively.

Below is a preview of the different topics covered in various sections of the book. I encourage you to read through these previews so you can fully understand that you're buying a great parental resource that will make your relationship with your teen better. If you have any questions, I encourage you to email me by clicking here. I'd be happy to answer any of your questions.

Getting a message across to your teen is one of the great challenges of the universe.  It’s teenage nature to be rebellious and independent…especially from their parents. This means that before you even start the conversation, the teenage mindset is working against you…they just don’t want to listen to anyone except for themselves and their close friends.

The key to effectively talking to your teen is making them feel comfortable in talking to you about this subject. This section of the book will show you exactly how to do that.

Section 3: TALKING WITH YOUR TEEN ABOUT POT

After you’ve been able to make your teen laugh and help them feel comfortable about talking about drugs with you, then you need to start the main conversation with your teen. Having these normally uncomfortable or ‘awkward’ conversations with your teen will really help your teen to feel like they can talk to you about anything. Only the first few conversations about these topics will be awkward for either of you…once you have an open relationship like this with your teen, it’s much easier.

This section will walk you step by step through that first awkward conversation of talking to your teen about drugs.

Section 4: HOW TO KNOW IF YOUR TEEN IS SMOKING POT

This section will help you to really know if you’re teen is involved with pot. Having the conversation noted previously in this ebook might not be enough to stop your teen from using drugs. It’s important that you be vigilant as a parent and try to know if you’re teen is smoking pot. If your teen is actually using pot, please be sure to follow the suggestions in the later section of this drug to help your teen quit…simply yelling and punishing your teen is really not the answer and will further push your teen away from having an open and meaningful relationship with you as their parent.

Section 5: HOW TO HELP YOUR TEEN QUIT SMOKING POT

If you think your teen might be smoking pot, it’s important that you don’t jump to conclusions and start yelling, punishing, or grounding them. The suggestions in this section are meant to help you help your teen to quit smoking. Smoking pot is a bad decisions that many teens make. However, yelling and screaming at your teen for using pot is an even worse decisions that parents make…a decision like this will only hurt your teens chances of stopping their drug use.
